About the therapist

Yaren Erdoğdu completed her undergraduate studies as the top student in the Psychology (100% English) program at Altınbaş University and pursued her Master's degree with full scholarship in Clinical Psychology at Altınbaş University. She has gained practical experience as an intern psychologist at institutions such as Istanbul University Medical Faculty Hospital Neuropsychology Laboratory, Psychiatry Service, Social Psychiatry Service, Tohum Autism Foundation, and Yeni Yüzyıl University Gaziosmanpaşa Hospital. Additionally, she has volunteered as a research assistant for the TÜBİTAK 1003 Kule Project and contributed to various initiatives including Altınbaş University’s Roman Children Project, Bahçeşehir University’s Haydi Oyuna Autism Project, and KAÇUV. She has also worked as a workshop assistant at Altınbaş University’s Children’s University, and participated in data collection and transcription for a study on violence in romantic relationships led by Assoc. Dr. Anıl Özge Üstünel. Yaren has been actively involved in fieldwork as a volunteer psychologist in Malatya through the DEPSDA Project and conducted individual therapy for adolescents and adults, as well as group therapy for children (theraplay), adolescents, and women. She collaborated with Prof. Dr. Önder Kavakçı to develop a website focused on trauma and has worked with students from Bilgi University’s Trauma Master’s Program. Additionally, she has contributed to the translation of academic articles and materials from English to Turkish with Prof. Dr. Hakan Türkçapar and Clinical Psychologist Selin Tutku Tabur. Her therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, and she has received supervision training in these areas. Yaren continues to volunteer with the Turkish Psychologists Association’s Trauma Unit and provides individual therapy for youth and adults both in-person and online. In the field of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, she has worked with Doğuş Technology, Unilever, and Türk Telekom in recruitment, employee experience, and employer branding teams, and continues to offer psychological support to organizations.
